    • If your research involves aerial survey/ drone/ unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a written consent from the State Internal Affairs & Research Office, Chief Minister's Department of Sabah is mandatory.

  • This workshop was organised by Sabah Biodiversity Centre and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on the 24th November 2015 at Le Meridien Hotel, Kota Kinabalu and attended by 65 participants from various ethnic groups, local communities and government agencies. The objective of this workshop was to spread the awareness and understanding of the protocol involve in Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) and to identify the local communities' stand and preference once the state ABS law is regulated. The speakers include Sabah Biodiversity Centre, Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and BC Initiative.

  • The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry will propose to set up a Sabah Technology Park under the Tenth Malaysia Plan in a move to protect and fully tap the rich biodiversity resources in the State.

  • The Third Workshop on Traditional Ecological Knowledge in Sabah on the issue of "Biodiversity Information Management & Traditional Ecological Knowledge in Sabah” will be held on the 22nd July 2009.

    Update (August 4, 2009) : Under the collaboration with the Sabah Biodiversity Centre (SaBC) and Global Diversity Foundation (GDF), the workshop aims to raise awareness on the necessity and status of biodiversity information management among providers and users of such information in Sabah. The workshop focuses on the database management of traditional ecological knowledge in relation to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
